More Or Less The More Or Less game is a wonderful activity for younger students that strengthens estimation skills, and requires little or no
reading. In this "number line" game, students are asked to place ten numbers on a number line in their proper order. "Less" on the left side and "more" on the right side. The range of numbers changes as games progress, but the smallest number in the range is always shown on the left side of the number line, and the largest number is shown on the right. Players can move numbers as needed. Bonus stickers are earned by minimizing the number of moves needed to construct number line. |

More Or Less BONUS STICKERS: Students can earn Bonus stickers by minimizing the number of moves (bumps) they make! Students must estimate where a ball should be placed, depending on the range of numbers shown, to complete the play with less moves. This feaure adds another layer of complexity to the game, and further strengthens critical thinking skills. See each individual game's directions for more information. |

To play, students click on the number line at the spot where they want the ball placed. Students can move balls by “bumping” them with a mouse-click. Click the right side of a ball to bump it to the left. Click it's left side to bump the ball to the right. All balls adjacent to the bumped ball also move. There are four rounds of play with 15 games each. Each game contains six levels that increase in difficulty as players progress. Round 1: Numbers used: 0 to 29 |

ALGEBRA More Or Less - Players must first calculate the numeric value of an algebraic expression appearing on emerging balls, and then place five balls on the number line in their proper order. "Less" on the left side and "more" on the right side. There are four rounds of play with 15 games each. Each game contains six levels that increase in difficulty as players progress. Levels 1 and 2: Value of variable = 1; The numeric value of a placed ball appears underneath the ball. |
