Length Games Equal Length helps students compare lengths, using inches, feet, yards and miles. Students first select three bars that show equal lengths. After they have selected three bars of equal length, students must then determine if the remaining lengths are longer than (more) or shorter than (less) the three equal-lenght measurements. (Note: the actual bars themselves do not vary - students determine length by the measurement written on each bar.) Every five games present increased challenge – more bars will be shown, and longer lengths will be displayed. Games 1 to 5: select three equal lengths from the four bars.

BONUS STICKERS: Students can earn Bonus stickers during the “more” or “less” phase of play. Correct determination awards 1/4 bonus sticker. Each incorrect determination deducts 1/4 bonus sticker. There is a limit (lower = 0, upper = 10) on the number of bonus stickers you can earn. Fractional bonus stickers earned are rounded up or down to their nearest whole number (Example: 4.25 rounded to 4; 4.5 and 4.75 rounded to 5). This feaure adds another layer of complexity to the game, and further strengthens critical thinking skills. See each individual game's directions for more information. |
